Figure 3 shows the model after adding the "Live-Steam" variable. The square boxes on the side of the variable node are handles for connecting the variable to a rule. The one on the left is for the input rule which defines the distribution of "Live-Steam" the one on the right is for the output to other rules which are conditioned on these variables. Our next step is to create these rules.
